During Square Enix's Active Time Report commemorating a year since the release of Final Fantasy XV, the company announced that Final Fantasy XV will receive an update in December that will allow players to play as Ignis, Gladio and Prompto in the game's main story. Each character will play the same as in their respective DLC.
In addition, Square Enix also announced a new update for the Final Fantasy XV multiplayer expansion "Comrades". Launching on the 12th of December, this update will reduce loading times and generation time of AI companions, adds new Timed Quests, and a Witch Shop that grants you buffs that you would get from a meal in exchange for a Timed Quest reward.
Final Fantasy XV "Comrades" will receive more updates throughout 2018.
