Ubisoft has announced that a new free update for Assassin's Creed Origins is now live on PS4, Xbox One and PC. This update adds Discovery Tour, New Game Plus, and plenty of fixes and tweaks.
Discovery Tour is a new educational mode of the game that lets everyone choose between free roaming the beautiful world of Ancient Egypt to learn more about its history and daily life, or embarking on 75 different guided tours curated by historians and Egyptologists. People can discover and explore a world free of conflict, time pressure or gameplay constraints, where storyline and quests are not active and the world of Ancient Egypt evolves into a combat-free living museum.
The New Game+ mode, just like in many other games, will let players start the game again after completing it while keeping all of their equipment, abilities and other items collected during the first playthrough. This update also brings several bug fixes and tweaks. You can check the patch notes here.
This update comes just a few weeks before the release of the game's second expansion, The Curse of the Pharaohs. Releasing on the 6th of March, the upcoming expansion offers players a completely new storyline to delve into as they travel to Thebes to investigate an ancient curse that is plaguing the region.
