Capcom announced today that the Monster Hunter: World x Final Fantasy XIV collaboration will launch on August 1 (5pm PT) / August 2 (1am BST). To celebrate the announcement, Capcom released a new trailer showcasing the fearsome Behemoth, cactuars, and more.
This collaboration brings Behemoth from Final Fantasy XIV to Monster Hunter: World as a huntable monster. A powerful beast with large horns and muscular frame, hunters will need to utilize some unique strategies to battle it. Cactuars will also make an appearance. Dangerous just like in the Final Fantasy series, Cactuars can be used as environmental traps.
The update will also add special collaborative weapons and armor from Final Fantasy XIV that will make you hunter look just like a Dragoon. In addition, there will also be new Palico equipment to make your Palico look just like a moogle.
Monster Hunter: World is now available on PS4 and Xbox One. The game releases on the 9th of August on PC.
