Publisher Modus Games and developer The Balance Inc. announced that Override: Mech City Brawl will be flexing its muscles this weekend with a Closed Beta event, running from August 10th to August 12th. The publisher also released a new video that highlights what players can expect in the Closed Beta.
The event will give players the chance to experience fast-paced mech brawls while the developers get a feel for the overall balance of the game. Players will be able to flatten cities inspired by real-world locations as a range of towering characters, including a fish-luchador hybrid bot named Pescado and an enormous lizard mech called MetaGeckon. You can sign up for the Closed Beta in the link below.
Override: Mech City Brawl will launch with a total of 12 different mechs to pilot, all with their own play style and specialty moves. Once you've selected your mech, you can customize it with a range of unlockable accessories and skins in The Garage. In addition to 1v1 and 2v2 brawls, the game also features 2 to 4-player co-op where each player controls one part of a skyscraper-sized mech. For those that prefer to play alone, there's also a single-player campaign.
Pre-orders for Override: Mech City Brawl are now available. The Super Charged Mega Edition includes the Season Pass, delivering 4 extra mechs and 16 new skins post-launch, as well as instant access to 12 legendary skins normally unlocked in the Standard Edition. Override: Mech City Brawl releases on the 4th of December on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The Super Charged Mega Edition will be available for $39.99, while the standard edition will be $29.99.
