SEGA today released a new cinematic trailer for Total War: Three Kingdoms, which features the first glimpse of the game’s spectacular campaign map. This stunning video showcases a land of vibrant colours and rich detail, but one plagued by tyranny and turbulence.
Total War: Three Kingdoms is the first Total War game to take inspiration from a romanticised version of History. Influenced by Luo Guanzhong's 14th century historical epic 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms', it follows the dramatic lives and deeds of near-mythical warlords and their retainers in 2nd to 3rd century China as they try to unite the country under their rule and forge the next great dynasty.
In this time of chaos, the heavens shine on warlord Sun Jian, The Tiger of Jiangdong, when he finds the fabled Imperial Seal: a legendary artefact said to find its way to the true emperor. Believing destiny has chosen him to rule, he gathers his children to his side. The time is nigh to bring an end to conflict, and unify a land divided. Historically, the Sun family played a vital role in the Three Kingdoms period by establishing the kingdom of Sun Wu; and this is where their dynastic journey began.
Total War: Three Kingdoms will launch in Spring 2019 on PC.
