After recently revealing the release date for Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, Bandai Namco today unveiled the collectable Limited Editions for the game, which are now available to pre-order. The content of the Limited Editions will differ between North America and Europe.
In North America, the Limited Edition is dubbed "Anniversary Bundle", and includes a copy of the game, an artbook, a Rapede metal case, and three acrylic keychains. The European edition, dubbed Premium Edition, comes with a copy of the game, 4 CDs with the game's soundtrack, an art book, a collectible cards set, a pin badge set, a Chibi Chara stickers set and a Repede Metal case.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition includes up-scaled screen resolution, as well as characters, events, and costumes that were never released outside of Japan. This edition also introduces two new playable party members: Flynn Scifo, the main character’s best friend and rival, and Patty Fleur, a young pirate searching for her lost memories.
The game uses a specialised iteration of the ‘Tales Of’ series’ Linear Motion Battle System for combat. Players control a single party member in real-time combat while other party members are controlled by a customised set of A.I. commands. Players can swap between any of the four characters at any time during battles and can perform physical attacks, Magic Artes or even powerful Mystic Artes.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition launches on the 11th of January on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
